　　艾瑞尔是一本时尚杂志的编辑，她的妹妹萨拉给她打了许多电话，但是她都没回。后来艾瑞尔接到了萨拉突然去世的消息，据说从现场看来像是自杀。艾瑞尔和她的摄影师朋友保罗一起来到萨拉的公寓料理后事，却撞见了正在翻找萨拉日记的理查德教授。据说那本日记里记载了一个珍贵雕像的下落。不久，艾瑞尔和保罗被一伙寻宝人棒加了，原来他们也正在寻找那个雕像。歹徒们把两人带回萨拉的房子，理查德和助手凯莉以及学生迈克尔正在那里。两伙人正相持不下，房门突然关闭，一系列可怕的事情发生了……
